Rabbit netting is commonly known as 31mm mesh whereas chicken or poultry netting tends to be 50mm mesh. Pheasant and game rearing pens can be a combination of both or some choose to opt for the smaller 25mm mesh.
With so many sizes weights and gauges in the market it is hard to differentiate between a cheap price for a cheap product and an expensive price for an average product. We believe in giving you the facts and letting you choose for yourself.
In general 1.0mm (19g) is the most popular thickness, 1.2mm (18g) is thicker and will last longer. Hot dip galvanised wire after the manufacturer seals all the joints and although may not look as neat when erected it will out last pre-galvanised wire. Pre-galvanised wire tends to be cheaper and lighter.
Easy identification of cost cutting is to compare overall weights.
